well..I've officially out for a solid 3 days now & I am exhausted! From the second I got here to about now, we've every minute of every day packed with some sort of class. So we are running 16 hour class days & exactly 8 hours of sleep. But needless to say it is absolutely AMAZING here. The spirit is so strong it feels like you're just walking in heaven. Everyone is so friendly & happy. I love it! This is the one place I will ever live in my life that will come as close to sacred as the Temple. This is dedicated ground & I could feel it the second I stepped onto off that curb & into the arms of my Savior's work. It was really neat because during my personal study, I came across Alma 29:9 about being an instrument in the hands of the Lord. I have truly felt that here!
I have only been here a few days & I already absolutely love my companion Sister Andersen. She is simply amazing. We get along so well & she has such a strong testimony (&& SHES TALL TOO AHH!!) I was honestly really relieved she is the same height as me for some reason. It's nice to have someone on your same level (heh heh..) but it's been great! We have a wonderful District too! All but 3 of us are going to the Chicago West Mission so it's really great! I have also seen like a hundred Sisters & Elders I have known from school & growing up! It's been awesome! It's really hard to keep from calling them by their first names..(I'm still adjusting) but it's been fun. You pretty much give up your first name to Sister or Elder. It's neat.
We have had tons of class time every day, but there's been some really neat experiences there. We got to actually plan, prepare & teach a lesson to our first investigator yesterday! That was super super neat! I feel like for our very first lesson, we did really well. Definitely strengthening my testimony about teaching by the spirit. I am learning so much it makes me so excited (believe it or not, even more than I was before I even actually left lol..) but to actually get out to Chicago to help God's children come to know & feel the love & comfort I feel though our beautiful Gospel.
I just want you all to know how much I love you & how much God loves you, no matter what or where your life takes you. You are his children & he will always love you. If you don't know that for yourself, I encourage you to get on your knees & pray about it. Ask your Father if he loves you. If you sincerely want to know & have to faith to do this, I promise you will feel it in your heart. He loves you. I am so grateful to be able to dedicate the next year & a half of my life to him & helping people come to know & feel that too.
Thank you for all the love & support you've all shown me. I love you all!!
